Kevin D. Trembush BS. DC

Owner & Clinic Director, Chiropractic Physician

“I don’t cure anything!” That’s what Dr. Trembush’s first chiropractor told him. He had suffered with pain through high school and college sports. Medication offered no help. ” I simply apply a specific adjustment and your body can cure itself. I just remove the interference to its ability to heal.”

So for Dr. Trembush, a career in chiropractic began because of the ease in which it helped his pain. “I’ll never forget that first adjustment. It was like that pain and pressure was trying to get out of my body but just needed a little help. That is when I knew I would be a chiropractor.” That soon grew into an understanding that chiropractic is more than a means of relief. It is a way to live a more productive, satisfying, and meaningful life.

Dr. Trembush earned his first B.S. degree at Allegheny College in Meadville, PA. After completing his study there, he was accepted at The National University of Health Sciences in Chicago, IL. During his four years at National, courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the National Public Clinic. After graduating, Dr. Trembush helped grow a successful practice in the Chicago area before returning West Virginia to establish his practice.

“We love skeptics,” smiles Dr. Trembush. “I still remember the concerns and apprehension I had when I went to the chiropractor for the first time. So we make it a point to explain everything in advance, answer questions and attempt to over-communicate. Before any treatments begin, we discuss the cause of the problem, detailed treatment plan, and any pertinent insurance benefits information. Patients appreciate that.”

Dr. Trembush lives in Morgantown with his wife, April and four daughters, Karsyn Josie, Evyn, and Marli. Outside of the clinic, his main passion is spending time with his family and his English Mastiff, Judge. He enjoys the outdoors and still loves football.

Dr. Trembush receives an adjustment a few times every month. He appreciates the importance of dietary supplementation for health so he and his family take pharmaceutical grade multivitamins and omega 3 fatty acids daily. By staying active, monitoring the amount of toxins he is exposed to, and staying well adjusted, Dr. Trembush knows that even on the rare occasion that he does get sick, his body can recover without turning to medication. Ask him how you can have this confidence in your body.

“Thanks for visiting our site. I hope it can be a source of hope and healing. I look forward to meeting you in person and learning how we may be of service to you. Give our Morgantown office a call, or email me using the link below and let’s arrange a time to explore your options.

Theodore B. Barko, Jr. DC

Dr. Barko’s Email

Dr. Theodore B. Barko, Jr. D.C. has been practicing Chiropractic since 1990 after graduating from National Chiropractic College with honors of Suma Cum Laude. Dr. Barko is also a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. He has been practicing in a multidisciplinary medical/chiropractic/rehab clinic in south western Pennsylvania since graduating in 1990.

While in practice Dr. Barko has had the privilege of working with medical doctors, doctors of osteopathic medicine, doctors of physical therapy, and athletic trainers. During his time in this multidisciplinary setting, many professionals were collaborating to ensure the best outcome for the patients.

Dr. Barko graduated from high school knowing he needed to go to college but not having the means; therefore, at age 18, he joined the US Air Force. After serving in the Air Force working as a crew chief on fighter airplanes, he then came home and joined the Air National Guard in Pittsburgh, he also began working at United Parcel Service as a package handler.

“ While working in this labor type position, I injured my back lifting and twisting while performing repetitive work duties. I found myself unable to get relief from the normal medical referrals who only relied on medication to give me some relief. Ultimately I was advised by my mother to seek a Chiropractor to address my condition. My first thought was, ‘I’m not going to see that quack’. So I refused. After continued suffering with lower back pain and only sleeping three hours a night, I reluctantly went to the Chiropractor. This man was amazing, he was able to resolve my lower back pain within approximately 2 weeks when I had suffered for over 6 months. I was intrigued by his success and this began my quest for knowledge relating to the Chiropractic field. “

After researching this healing art Dr. Barko was convinced he wanted to be a Chiropractor to help other people overcome these same type of injuries. He began taking night classes at WCCC Youngwood, PA and University of Pittsburgh, Greensburg PA campus while continuing to be employed at UPS. He completed his undergraduate degree and was accepted at National Chiropractic College in Chicago, Illinois. During the 4 years at National he studied human anatomy, human physiology, biochemistry, diagnosis of conditions, and chiropractic techniques. While at college he began treating patients at the National Chiropractic public clinic. After graduating with a degree in Chiropractic, he returned to South Western PA where he joined a multidisciplinary clinic. After being at this clinic for 26 years, he felt the need to return to a more Chiropractic based environment that led him to Advantage Health & Wellness.

At the present time Dr. Barko lives in South Connellsville, PA with his wife Lori and his son Tanner. His main passion is spending time with his family and his Siberian Husky, Sabaka. He loves the outdoors and coaches his son’s Pony League baseball team during the summer months. His older son Theo lives in Duluth, Minnesota and works in the aircraft maintenance industry. Dr. Barko is a current member of the King Soloman’s Masonic Lodge #346 in Connellsville. He is dually licensed in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. He is certified in acupuncture from National Chiropractic College.

“Being in the military and ultimately becoming a chiropractor has instilled and taught me the meaning of integrity, honesty and professionalism. As a Chiropractic physician I am held to a high standard, I am sworn to uphold my oath to the best of my ability. I strive to help people regain their health through proven techniques and protocols designed to restore normal spinal biomechanics and strength there by helping the body heal itself. I believe in having a “Vision for the future” and in that vision I see a tremendous opportunity to help and serve the people in this area. I am excited to join Advantage Health and Wellness and look forward to helping the good people of the Morgantown area.”

Michele A. Libell PT

Physical Therapist

Michele Email

Michele grew up in a small town in western Pennsylvania. She graduated from Center High School in 1988. She attended Penn State Beaver Campus for a year before transferring to the University of Pittsburgh where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 1992. She has worked as a physical therapist in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and now West Virginia. She is currently licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. She is glad to call Morgantown home.

Michele loves spending time with her children. In her spare time, she also enjoys playing in a steel drum band here in Morgantown.

I returned to work as physical therapist after raising 3 wonderful children and wanted to use my degree in physical therapy to help people. I found it refreshing to see at AHW that chiropractors, physical therapists and nurse practitioners all work together to help make people’s lives better.

Typical day starts with meetings and huddles. I also do new patient examinations and reexaminations on current patients, which includes documenting and instituting care plans and signing daily notes. I stay in communication with staff on progressing patients with their treatment plans and communicate with patients, doctors and insurance companies as necessary.

G. Michael Radabaugh, Jr. BS

Clinical Department Head, Radiologic Technologist

Radiology Technician

“I am originally from Preston County.  I am married with 2 wonderful children.

I worked for 13 years as a Radiologic Technologist at WVUH before being hired here at Advantage Health and Wellness to help develop the Case Management position and take x-rays.  That changed to a position scribing for our providers as they conduct New Patient exams while I continue to take x-rays for the office.  In late 2018 I was promoted to Department Head for the Clinical and Rehab departments.

The favorite part of my job is welcoming our patients into the office and treating them like Family.  It is very rewarding to see a person progress from being in pain to becoming a Happy, Healthy Patient by the time they have completed their journey with us.

I have many “mantras” that get me through a work day here at Advantage, but the one I repeat most often is; “I am here to help.”

Matthew T. Heater CPC, CBCS, CMU, MIBOA, CHS

Operations Manager, Billing Manager

Billing Manager Email

I was born in Fairmont, WV but was raised following my father’s career in the US Air Force taking me all around the world. A large portion of my childhood was spent living in Europe and seeing parts of the world most could only dream of. I moved back to West Virginia to attend high school and I quickly realized I wanted to stay in the area and be near my grandparents and extended family.

I began building my career in the hospitality industry when my mother fell sick and needed me home more often. This lead me to healthcare, I needed a stable job in a growing industry that allowed me to help not only my family but also the community around me.

After graduating from a Medical Billing program I was lead to Advantage as a student intern with hours to complete as a graduation requirement. I quickly found my place here, was offered a full time position and started to help build each of the billing positions we have today. I soon became a leader of the TEAM and accepted position as Billing Manager. Advantage has helped me to obtain many certifications and credentials to help grow my knowledge not only for the job I am performing but also help me grow as a manager within the company.

I am forever grateful for the risk they took on me, fresh out of school with little experience. Working with the doctors and staff here has created such a loving, family like atmosphere with so much love and support that I truly feel at home every day I am here.

As a lifelong West Virginia resident, I know how bad the opioid problem is here and I love our mission of providing safe, non-narcotic pain management. I am extremely excited to share with people what a complete physical medicine facility can do for them.”

Ryan is responsible for coordinating our marketing strategy, planning events, and attracting new patients to experience what we offer.

Her driving force is her family and her faith, and her passion is to make a difference in the lives of those around her, even if it’s simply putting a smile on their faces.

She graduated from Morgantown High School in 2015 and continued on to pursue her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology at WVU. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, she began working for Advantage Health & Wellness as a Chiropractic Assistant, learning the value of hands-on, multidisciplinary care under the wing of the providers of the office.

Following her graduation from WVU in 2018, she continued on to achieve her Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration through Valparaiso University. Throughout her time at Advantage, Amy has had the opportunity to learn and work in multiple departments of the practice, giving her a full-circle view of the company’s mission.
After completing her Master’s Degree in 2020, Amy began her career as a Healthcare Administrator as the Executive Assistant to the Clinic Director, Dr. Trembush.

“I am so blessed to have been given the opportunity to be a part of a practice like Advantage Health & Wellness. My motivating factor is the group of amazing people I get to work with every day and the genuine, selfless care they provide to our patients. There is no place like Advantage – rather than simply speaking about our success, we let our results speak for themselves. Watching a patient go from entering the office on Day 1, barely able to walk with a frown on their face, to practically dancing out the door, standing tall and grinning from ear-to-ear – makes all of the hard work so, so worth it.”
